Calcium Citrate (Citracal) Kills??

I recently gave 2 bottles of Citracal Plus D to a friend.. she took it
about an hour after lunch, and then said she had a stomach ache, which
is still going on; going on 3 days.

She claims that I'm trying to kill her.. I have never heard of someone
taking calcium citrate and having a stomach for 3 days!! ???

How is this possible? I thought calcium citrate was suppose to be
gentle on the stomach? Is there any rhyme or reason this should have
happened? I have taken citracal for about 2 years, and have never had a
stomach ache, and had great results..

So if anybody has an answer, please let me know!!

Also, I can't find an email address on Citracal's website, I'd love to
email them and ask..

I'm not sure, but I'll ask.

She's a fairly paranoid person, and so I think she cooks her own food.
She doesn't eat out, ever..

Is there anything she could have eaten, that would interact with the
calcium?

Also, she said she chewed the pill, instead of swallowing it whole.. I
don't see how that would be harmful...

I'm in Taiwan, and so it's difficult to call them, also, due to time
zone, I'm not home when they are at work..
