I highly recommend you read The Bone Density Diet - right now you're guessing.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0345432843/103-7378956-7988603?vi=glance

You can get a used copy real cheaply or treasure a new copy. It will explain
how bones
are built and destroyed.

There are new medications on the horizon that will actually build bone. It
requires daily injections.
They have not yet been approved
for men the last I heard. It is sort of non-plusing to once weekly take Foxamax
as it is labeled
"For post menopausal woman.

Are you looking at a "short form" sort of info sheet like they give out at
pharmacies?

If you read the full prescribing info, in the "indications and usage"
section "treatment to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis"
is listed, as are a couple of other non-post-meno-women uses.

If you don't want to read the small-print printed version, you can see on
the web site at

I know, it's been fully approve ed for men. I just think it's funny.

I've made a lot of progress over the last few years. Thanks Merck.

There's a lot of research. The REAL KEY is we should outlaw the use
of soda and small children! That's the root problem! with the epidemic.
