hello,
I have just begin treatment with Miacin and I have one question concerning care
of the bottle while on airline trips. I travel a lot for work and need to take
Miacin daily. With the hassle of getting through airport security, and such,
and the need to keep the Miacin bottles completely UPRIGHT (no tilting, no
laying it on its side -- not sure how strict that requirement is), and the
tinyness of the bottle, I am concerned about it breaking by the time I get to
my destination. For obvious reasons, I won't check it in the baggage
compartment of the plane. Carrying it with me in my totebag on the plane is
preferable, but the problem of bottle breakage is still high.
Have any of you had experience taking this with you on trips?
How did you keep the bottles from breaking on route?
How did you handle the medication's warning that you must keep the bottle
UPRIGHT? If it accidently tilts while in my totebag, or hotel staff
accidently knock it over while cleaning my room and I am out for the day, is
this a problem?
How does one get emergency refills, replacements when far from home and on a
tight business schedule?
What has been your experience?
best,
