Oh - I forgot: if you post to mfw, change your handle. There is
an idiot posting with the handle "john" and you don't want to get
mixed up with him.

HI John,

Sometimes it helps to have someone say what we already know. A 4%
loss in bone density could be a simple variation in the way your DEXA
was performed. (I'd probably smack someone if they said that to me).

I spoke to an endo. fresh out of med school once who explained that
many things can leach calcium from our systems, and they are not all
detectable with blood tests.

My amateur medical opinion is that you're well beyond "when you hear
hoofbeats think horses, not zebra." I would do the opposite.

Find a list of every known reason that humans loose bone. There has to
be one.

Then systematically eliminate what this is not. As the list divides
itself into no's, maybe's, & could be's, I think the source of your
bone loss will stand out.

We as a group can help a lot with research & the elimination process.
The fact that we are not trained medical minds is probably good. We
don't know enough to skip over anything.

Are you up for that approach? Are any other group members willing to
do research for John?
